I have a job interview tmrw and the role pays £30k. After deductions, it’ll works out at £2k/month or £90/day, and after maintenance on average would leave you say with £1k to spare per month.

So is this wage respectable? What is a decent wage?

It would depend what the market rate is for your field. £30k is a good start for most.

Best of luck with your interview.

What is the job role? What degree did you graduate with? Very hard to judge without any context.

it's fine for a grad job.

but it's not going to buy you the greatest life in central London.

you should be ok though because most grad jobs have decent career progression.

if I was to give a good figure for central London (mid-level/senior) I would say about 45k+

It depends on your aspirations, lifestyle, location, hours and the requirements of the job.
