Did you even read the story? It is the EU turning away refugees. Meanwhile, Boris Johnson refuses to set immigration limits.

I can't wait for Leave either, mostly because it will be hilarious to see how people like you react to the massive increase in immigration into the UK.

Because the road of refusing to help people who are not part of our society ends in a very dark place. Being born in another country does not make anyone any less human, and if we can’t at least respect our common humanity then our society has no future worth fighting for.
Surely this is an argument for global free movement then if moving to another country is a right and not a privelage. Where do you draw the line, should we be accepting migrants from poor but stable Vietnam as well as immigrants from poor but stable Tanzania? If not, why are we picking one over the other.

The reality is that while there is an argument against a xenophobic society, it is entirely possible to maintain a high immigration rate while still being very selective in who we choose to import.

Further, since polling suggests the vast majority of the population want to see immigration numbers fall. Do the native people of this nation not get a choice? Are they not sovereign?

If your question is why should be investing in improving conditions the answer is because of Europe are partly to blame for the mess of Africa, when the scramble for Africa took place they basically looted the country of its natural resources and left them with practically nothing, just look at the horror's of the congo free state.
This is perhaps the most retarded example of anti-imperialist sentiment i have read in a long term.

Far from stripping the Congo of its resources, at an estimated $24tn the Congo has the highest mineral wealth in the world. It's state today has far more to do with the fact that when you were made independent you did not follow the path of market democracy as the Asian Tigers did post war.

You can blame the west for the state of the nation a decade after imperialism but you cannot blame the west 50 years on. At some point you must take responsibility for your own actions and accept that you made poor economic choices.
