Hey Guys;

My laptop was used to giving me the blue screen of death maybe once every couple of months the last year or so but up until yesterday gave it to me three times...

My laptop is 6 years old now and runs Windows 7 (prefer 7 to 10). Is there anything I can do to potentially stop it and save it? 😫

Don’t know much about computers but from what I’ve seen, it is an issue with an ageing operating system, so if I upgrade to windows 10, will it fix this?...

Either that or reinstall Windows 7, if it's a software issue that is.

Without giving any information on what the specific error is (bsod can be 100 things, sometimes hardware related sometimes software) there's nothing anybody can do to help you.

Next time it happens take a picture of the screen before it resets and Google the error code, that should at least give you some idea of the root cause.

Edit: ignore the bit I said about reinstalling windows 7 being an option. It's approaching eol and will stop receiving security updates in January, time to move on I'm afraid.
