Hi Melisa, that picture is a little blurry, could you post one that is a bit clearer? or maybe each question individually?

It says RPSQ Could you get the point of the question I couldn’t
Yes E is correct but isn’t the question wrong because procaryots have circular Dna eucaryotes have linear Dna
I did D tooBut it says B(

it was to use the mathematical percentages to get the order of chromosomes. (the crossover values is the amount they get shuffled up when being passed on, which now I think about it I was doing the opposite, the amount they are passed on together)

For E, yes eukaryotes have linear DNA in their nucleus, but if you think about mitochondrial DNA that is circular because of how it was made (endosymbiotic theory, mitocondria were once prokaryotes)

B cant be right?? Blood goes Atria -> ventricles, so if there is high blood pressure in the ventricles, its because the atria are squeezing blood into the ventricles (atrial systole), and blood does not flow backwards into the atria. Maybe the question is worded incorrectly?

Yupp you’re definitely right I understood the second one now .

Yeah about third one I absolutely agree with you answers can’t be wrong though bcuz it is last year’s questions

I can’t still analyze the first one When we sum the percentages it is 120 /100

Thanks a lot Can you look at some more if you are available^_^

okay so retroviruses use the host cells own machinery to manufacture more retrovirus particles using reverse transcriptase.

phosphodiester bonds are the backbone of DNA and RNA.

I honestly think that top question, all 3 could be right, so it would be Answer B.

for that bottom question, independent assortment happens before the female zygote (I think) so not 1.

crossing over happens during the formation of the egg and sperm, not after fertilisation (I think). not 2.

so I think the only right answer is 3, so its E

okay so that top one I got

A) 1+2

cause yeah cyst fibrosis is recessive, but once its inherited it cannot be changed, so not 3

that bottom one

I think is C) 1 only - because its the only one that is alkaline, so raising the PH levels.

I think there's a problem with the uploaded mark scheme,

we are getting the same answers, which the internet is confirming,

can you send me the markscheme? I want to see what they've put

I guess you mean the answers =markscheme are wrong I don’t think so it is an international exam so answers must probably all correct and I re-checked it a lot in case I might look at wrongly but still same answers:’(
