The important thing is, we're in this boat together, so this is the place to post that question you were too afraid to ask a bunch of strangers about or to vent at when something is getting you down, and maybe have some fun along the way!

Notices: If you have anything to share, PM ClubNeon and I can add it here for you.

:rave:Let's get these Grade 9s Class of 2021!:rave:
Hi guys, I’m Elizabeth. I’ve chosen French, German, History and Economics for my GCSE’s. I must admit I’m not excited to start some of these but I’ll give it my best effort because I’ve chosen the responsibility of taking nine instead of seven (we are allowed). I don’t really have any hobbies, school is my main focus. I’m really excited for year ten because I feel it’s the beginning of my future. I’m dedicated to making sure that I get excellent grades this year, as I do know the right ways to study now and the time I need to put aside for it.

hi!
I'm 14 too and I am really nervous about gsce's. I'm kind of a nerd but also an outgoing and social person but not a sporty person(although I do swimming)
These are my gsce subjects:
Maths-Edexcel
English(language and literature) -AQA
Biology-AQA
Physics-AQA
Chemistry-AQA
R.S(it's compulsory but I seriously don't want to do it) -Edexcel
French -AQA
geography-AQA
Computing -AQA
Art-AQA

I don't really know what my strongest subject is because I am on the same level in most subjects but maybe French and maths.

My weakest subjects are definitely English and R.S.I don't know why but I really can't do them(ARGHH)

I'm hoping for a not so stressful experience and 9's in all the subjects(maybe)
I hope we can help each other out and have a fun time

My form tutor is the same as last year luckily. Most of my teachers on the other hand I am not happy with. I would say that this year I have the following types of teachers:
  • 2 teachers with not the slightest control of the class (History and Biology)
  • 3 men whose permanent emotional state is angry, yet who still manage to get very little done. (Physics, Geography and P.E.)
  • A French teacher who is a German teacher with fairly little knowledge of the French language, who has been forced to teach French because German didn't run.
  • 2 teachers whose way of teaching is worksheets upon worksheets (Chemistry and English). My English teacher also thinks that he is the funniest man to have ever walked on planet Earth.
  • One genuinely decent teacher (One of my Maths teachers)
  • 2 teachers I haven't had yet (The other maths teacher and my R.E. teacher).

My timetable is generally better than the ones that I had during KS3, however I do have at least two sciences on the same day on both Tuesdays and Fridays, and on Tuesday Week A I have all 3 Science subjects on the same day! I also have two Maths teachers this year as mentioned above, which will be an awkward teaching situation. (I know from experience; I had 24 teachers in year 7).

The year 7s are looking predictably small, although another difference in my school this year is that year 7 have house coloured ties (my school clearly has pretensions above its league).

Hi! My name is rajayasaswini and I am in Year 11 now.

I finished my English Language GCSE last year and thankfully I got a 9! I thought I messed up on the first paper as I was late to the exam.

I love listening to K-Pop (please don't judge but I know you are), R&B, jazz, classical and k-hip hop. I love reading and writing a lot. I also love listening to a few podcasts.

GCSE Subjects:
Maths, all sciences and English - Edexcel
Edexcel Economics
AQA Computer Science
Edexcel Design and Technology
Edexcel French

My least favourite subject is Biology

My favourite subjects are Maths, English, Languages, Physics, Chemistry and Economics

Mostly I want to get 8s and 9s in my GCSEs

I still don't know my predicted grades but my target grades are between 7 and 9.

I really want to do computer science for cybersecurity or space engineering which would be super cool but my parents want me to be a doctor.:bawling:

I could not sleep the days before school started at all because I am really nervous and anxious about Year 11 but so far it's going okay and I have started to compile all my notes.:afraid: Unfortunately, I lost all my Physics notes in Year 10 and I can't find them so I wrote as much as I could during the summer and I'm printing off revision notes from PMT(my lifesaver).

Thank you so much for reading!

P.S. This is my first post in student room so I don't know much about how to post stuff
