I know that with Santander you get a free 4 year rail card and 3% interest on like £2000 for a student account, if you put in a certain amount per term. Not sure for HSBC, but re regular savers, they’re great ways of earning interest over a year, or more if you want to roll it over at the new rate. First direct does a great one for your second account, though you have to open/have a current account alongside it with which to avoid fees after 6 months there are some criteria to abide by.
