I can't afford to stay in halls for the whole year, but haven't managed to sort out private accommodation as yet. Still working on it, but as a back-up I'm wondering if universities allow students to leave after only a couple of months? Say around the Christmas holidays?
I'll be at Exeter Penryn FYI. Thanks!

Nope if you read the terms of the agreement then you will see if you sign it and start then you are liable for the whole term unless you find another student to replace you. If you know you cant afford it then I think its a mistake to start.
