What does ‘pretty special person’ mean here?

As for the Aspergers [my name], I don't want you to take this so badly. There's no need to and it's absolutely got nothing to do with what you're saying about being normal or so on - and definitely nothing to appeal! It doesn't change who you - which is pretty special person! If anything, now it means you're going to have all the support you had before and more.


Is this something you would say to a friend? What does 'special person' mean here?
