Are you interested in pursuing a career in the environmental sector? Have you been inspired by recent environmental catastrophes to try and help save our planet? Well look no further!

Here are a select number of jobs with a brief description of each to kick-start the search for your dream job:

Agronomist/Crop Scientist
Advise farmers on soil management and crop production.
Help combat soil degradation!

Climate Scientist
Study the influences on the Earth's climate over time and how these might affect it in the future.
Inform governments and the public about the effects of human behaviour on our planet!

Ecologist
Study the relationship between plants, animals and the environment.
Research the impact of human behaviour on ecosystems!

Environmental Lawyer
Advise clients on compliance with regulatory requirements, pre-empt investigations by authorities, prosecute organisations for breaching environmental regulations or committing environmental crimes, etc.
Hold companies to account legally!

Hydrologist
Study the impact of rainfall, rivers and waterways on the environment. Look at sustainable ways we can use water!

Landscape Architect
Plan, design, create and manage the landscapes we live and work in.
Ensure our building projects are sustainable and help reduce the impact of our construction habits!

Oceanographer
Study the seas and oceans.
Track changes in the ocean environment and test out new ideas to help the oceans!

Recycling Officer
Promote recycling in the community, and run local recycling schemes.
Help communities to cut down on their plastic waste and recycle what they do use!

Tree Officer/Aboricultural Officer
Maintain and manage trees for local councils or arboricultural contractors.
Ensure that the lungs of our world (the trees) are retained and well-maintained, and be paid to plant more trees!

Wind Turbine Technician
Maintain and repair wind farm turbines on land and at sea.
Keep an important source of renewable energy in steady supply!
