Btec help!

Today I was accepted into a level 3 Btec business course, and I was told that I could go to university with the course because it is an extended diploma in business which is the same as 3 A-Levels, however today at enrollment day it was put down as a foundation diploma level 3, does everyone have to do this in the first year and then the second year I will get the extended diploma ?

Or do I need to tell them to change it, I'm really concerned as my next step after college is, in fact, to go off to university so this being correct is vital
The first year of an extended diploma is either a foundation diploma or a diploma and the second year brings it up to an extended diploma.
