Becoming a dentist

Results day I got A in biology, B in chemistry and a B in PE.
I am going on a gap year and still wish to attempt to persue dentistry.
I am aware of some 6 year courses but I have only found that Manchester, Kings College London and Dundee offer these. I also heard that at Newcastle, dental hygiene and therapy students have the chance to move onto the dentistry BDS (I assume this is very hard to achieve). Are there any other pathways to become a dentist or other unis I have missed out that offer the 6 year course or the oppertunity to progress onto dentistry. I will also look into post graduate entry after completing the UKCAT if my results aren’t as great as I need.

Hi,

Do you mind me asking if you managed to get any offers when you applied?
And I hope you find a way!
Hi there. I don’t know much about undergrad requirements. Graduate entry could be a potential for you if you did a science degree first? Although a long way round and very competitive! Good luck!

Hi,
I hadn’t applied last year as my UKCAT wasn’t as great as I has hoped. I thought I would try again this year to get a better result!
Thank you!
