Hiya!

Hobbies/interests:
I enjoy doing a ton of different things really. I play netball for my local club and go to gym 3-4 times a week. I also really enjoy Drama and Performing Arts so I always try to get involved in local plays etc. I’m also really interested in anything to do with Dementia and research surrounding it.

Studying:
Biology, Chemistry and Maths (used to do Physics at AS-level but I dropped it this year) and an EPQ.

What grades I’d like to achieve:
It’s very ambitious, but I’m hoping to get 3A*s and an A in my EPQ. (Haven’t gotten predicted grades yet, but I think they’d be lower than that)

Plans for after y13?
I want to go to Uni to study Medicine but still undecided on where.

Feelings about this year:
I’m excited to start back at College and learn new content, but in that same breathe am also a tiny bit apprehensive because I’ve heard it’s quite a big jump from AS to A-levels and I know I need to really focus if I want to achieve those grades.
hiya! what boards are you doing for bio/chem/math?

Those of you who take A level physics, how are you finding it? I'm not finding it too difficult at the moment, but there are so many experiments and PAGs which I'm getting quite tired of, and the calculations are all repetitive...

I think it's kind of a shame, as physics in itself is actually really interesting.
I found year 1 content a bit boring tbh, year 2 sounds a lot more exiting. I do OCR A and there's a large chunk of electricity, which I'm not the biggest fan of. Quantum mechanics is my favourite bit so far. PAGS wise, I agree there are so many and I'm getting a bit fed up of them.

I’m on the AQA spec, is it English literature B or something? idk, so far we’ve done the handmaids tale, Gatsby, love through the ages poetry. Year 13 we are doing a streetcar named desire, more poetry, measure for measure and for my coursework I’m doing Dracula and far from the madding crowd I think.

Hello! :flowers:
What are your hobbies/interests?
I love reading, long walks in the forest, baking (although I don't get to do it often!) and writing (bad) poetry

What are you studying?
English Literature, History, Drama and Theatre studies, and an EPQ

What grades do you hope to achieve?
A*A*AA (AA in Drama and Theatre studies and EPQ, I just feel like I butchered the practical exams for Drama ahah)

What are your plans for after Year 13?
Go to Uni and study English/English Literature - I'm aiming at Cambridge, but also applying to Durham, Exeter, Birmingham and Manchester!

What are your goals for the future?
Do my masters, travel around Europe, own a Tesla

How are you feeling about this year?
I'm very stressed but very positive! I've dealt with so many unfortunate events in my life, so I can definitely do it now (hopefully).
Although in all honesty, I'm terrified of the impending doom and the possibility of utterly failing somehow... take from that what you will

Okay so hi again I'm Glaz and I'm in year 13. I'm 16 years old because I've been moved up a year so all the height and age jokes are really a pain in the ass. I take biology, math and Spanish and I really really really want 3 Bs but I'll be happy with 3 Cs. Outside of school I play badminton and other than that my only other hobby is Rainbow 6 Siege.
Glad to be part of the :shot: family and good luck everyone.
