I have already done my health and social care and my speaking and listening exam. I’ve got a distinction on my speaking and listening but I’ve not yet got my results for health and social care but I’ve always got a distinction on mocks.
I’m not sure whether I want to go to college or 6th form.
I would like to go to Leeds university and I’m not sure what career I want as I feel I have lots of different interests.
I’m quite nervous but I’m excited to see what the future holds.
Year 10 was good for me, I got grades in mocks that i had never gotten before and I ended the year on 100% which I was really quite proud of.
My hobbies are playing guitar, playing piano, singing, writing songs and producing them, art, editing, ofc watching Netflix, writing and reading.
My favourite subject is English
My least favourite subject is business
My favourite way to revise is through mind maps or flash cards or booklets
the subjects you have taken : Maths, englang, englit, bio, chem, phys, hist, geo, french, spanish, music. Took further maths this year (will get result in september)
your predicted grades : All 9 (lol no pressure)
the grades you want to achieve : I'll aim for all 9's, but i won't get upset if it doesn't happen
any grades you may have (if you did any early): Waiting on further maths result
your plans after year 11 (alevels, college, apprenticeship) : Apply to some colleges, unsure if i want to do ib or a-level yet
what do you want to do in the future? (university, career plans etc.) : No idea!
how you’re feeling about starting year 11 : Ready to hit the ground running. Yr7-10 have gotten progressively better for me. Might as well have a positive outlook, however long it lasts.
How you felt about year 10: Loved it. Perhaps more because of friends than academics, but that's okay.
Hobbies and interests : Playing instruments (especially cello + clarinet), olympiad-style mathematics, youth council, youth parliament, climate activism, boxing, dogs, dofe
favourite subject : Lucky enough to like all of them
most hated subject: I struggle with science and i find the gcse geography course pretty terrible
favourite way to revise: Making notes by bringing together exam spec + textbook
if you have a gyg blog feel free to share that too, here :
