Is 3 separate A-Levels better, or is 2 A-Levels equivalent to 3 A-Levels good?

I have two offers from 2 Sixth Forms now. However, the subject choices are a little bit different.

Hollyfield Sixth Form: BTEC Media, A-Level CompSci and A-Level Sociology.
Godalming College: BTEC Media (equivalent to 2 A-Levels) and A-Level CompSci.

So my question is: is 3 separate A-Levels better, or is 2 A-Levels equivalent to 3 A-Levels good?

Usually, universities ask for three A-Levels from the same suite (i.e three A-Levels, IB etc.) but it depends where you want to go and what you want to do. I would definitely recommend taking the two A-Levels and a BTEC as unis often offer alternative qualifications (i.e a mix of BTEC and A-Level) and like to see three subjects taken.

Do you have any thoughts about what you would like to do after A level?

Not having a go, but why did you say this? Asking out of curiosity.

I'm thinking of either going down the CompSci route or Media Studies. I'm not sure now, since the future for both of them is not sure. So I'd like to wait for another 2 years, and then decide.

For the courses I am looking at, the Russell Group unis have the best and most interesting courses.

Thanks for the reply. How can you tell either of those?

If you want to study comp sci then A level maths will give you more options than A level computer science.

A BTEC media production course isn’t likely to be good preparation for a theory focused media studies degree.

I may be wrong but I'm at a Russel Group Uni and my understanding is that they are traditional af. Maybe other uni's would appreciate 2 alevels and a btec because it's different, but at Russel Group they might prefer 3 alevels as it's traditional and respected
