Can I appeal my college course level?

Wanted to study btec level 3 subsidiary diploma in I.T. at college but didn't get maths and English gcse by a narrow margin . My secondary school had recommended me to complete A level computing and I achieved the highest level on the English and maths bksb tests on enrollment day at college . Despite this the tutor has put me on a level 2 course which had totally demoralised me. My gcse results don't show what I'm capable of academically ..... I think exams stress me out. Can I challenge the college to put me on a level 3 course?
You can challenge, but wouldnt rate your chances.

Just take this next year to do more GCSE so you are ready for level 3 when you get to do it the following year. You can take Maths and English in November.

You are going to have to learn to do exams as thats how most of them are tested.
BTEC has more coursework, but you still have to reach a standard.
If you cant do level 2 it is highly unlikely you can cope with level 3. Just sort it out in the next year.
