Yes it did, I believe that was in 2008 and I died with it.

Then they tried to save it with shenanigans like updating the graphics, updating the combat system and throwing in daily prize games like the casinos do to their weary addicts.

I said to myself "The only thing that can save RuneScape now is a time machine! Take me back to 2007"

And that's exactly what they did! They re-released the 2007 version of RS, now called OSRS (Old School RuneScape). I think it came out in 2015 an now you can play it on Mobile too

Not only does it still have the wilderness, it has more bosses too, there's about 10! And the King Black Dragon and Chaos Elemental are still there . but so are the pkers

According to Hans I've got over 2 months total play time lol. But most of that is semi-afk time where I play the game with 10% of my brain capacity and focus mainly on something else like Netflix or food.

The best part of the game, in my opinion, is the simplicity. It's a timeless classic like Pong and Super Mario Bros. It's really fun to just train your skills, unlock new things and climb the highscores ladder. You can play it lightly or heavily, there's a play style for everyone. some people focus on the quests, others prefer combat related stuff, and then there's those that just invest literally everything in their House (like MTV cribs on steroids). I for one focus on leveling up my skills and doing quests. Some days I spend deep hours on it, other times I just play minimally while commuting, it's a much better addiction than crack!
