I'm looking to buy a new laptop for uni. I start next month doing Nursing. I currently have a Packard Bell, it's really good and had no issues with it during the access course but I find it is extremely heavy... Is this going to a problem with Uni, lugging books around as well?
I'd rather have something lighter but I don't want to spend a fortune as I'm a single parent and finances are not very spare.

I studied Children’s Nursing for nearly 3 years but in London so I never took my laptop as I was too afraid of being mugged. I got round this by simply emailing work to myself and having a few USBs and having my laptop at home as the University itself had plenty of IT rooms. For notes I used note pads and had a very cheap tablet that I bought a cheap Bluetooth keyboard for but I rarely used it.
