I am writing this essay on death and have come up with this little story. Four year old Emily Thompson unexpectedly dies after a coughing syncope and is found by her mother, who calls for an ambulance. When the paramedics get there, what would happen then? At the time of death, her parents were arguing and she got woken up by the loud noises of screaming...Please, if anyone knows the answer, help me out.

If a 4 year old dies unexpectedly (as in your scenario) then the Police would attend as well as the paramedics, perhaps a Dr and the coroner would be involved (not necessarily attend the scene but would be involved as the death would be subject to a coroners court hearing ). The Police would attend to establish whether there are any suspicious circumstances with regard to the death
When people die at home in normal circumstances then .,although the paramedics initially attend, the body is normally removed to the mortuary by undertakers. The family would choose an undertakers firm and one would be called to the house
The rule generally is that paramedics do not normally transport the dead. They are there for the living and to use such scarce resources to transport those that nothing more can be done for them is in essence a waste of those resources. However the sudden death of 4 year olds is an unusual event that has a traumatic effect on the family and therefore in order to prevent a lengthy wait for undertakers this general rule may be broken in these circumstances and it is possible the paramedics may be used to transport the body to the hospital morgue
