In my second year at uni I got 63.5% this is 40% of my degree, what do I need in the 3rd year (which is worth 60%) to achieve 60% overall as my degree mark?
About 60%.

That's not a funny answer, it's just how the math works out.

That 63.5% contributes 25.4% to your overall grade.
That leaves a remaining 34.6% to reach 60%.
100/60=1.66
34.6x1.66=57.4%
