Paying underground tube with debit card?
What happens if you forget to tap your credit card entering a station but tap it when exiting a station, and again when entering the latter station later that day?
Then it will show as an incomplete journey and you'll be charged a maximum fare.
If using contactless, you'll be refunded the next time you finish a journey. Else, you can claim a refund online.
