Edinburgh university gcse grades

I was just wondering whether my GCSE grades would allow me to be considered for a place at Edinburgh to study law. I got 2 9’s, 4 8’s, 3 7’s and a 6. Thank you

Your GCSEs are barely taken into account. As long as you didn’t fail everything (which obviously you didn’t) and passed English and Maths, they won’t really pay much attention. It’s more important to have a strong personal statement and predicted grades that match the entry requirements.

Well… Edinburgh is my dream, a law course too! But my GCSEs are by far worse so now i’m thinking it’s not even worth applying :/ i got 1-7 1-L2D* 3-6s 2-5s and 1-4. It was 2020 so it was all formulated but still… i’m predicted AABB for AS level. Hoping maybe if i get good A levels next year Then?..

Edinburgh dosent really care about your GSCEs, as long as you are predicted to meet the entry requirements you will be fine.

Great! Thank you  I’m definitely on track to exceed their entry so that’s great news
