Why are books so expensive?

I am confused because I want to get Cgp aqa Biology A-Level and they cost at about £15 on Amazon however the same book for GCSE would cost at about £5. So why is there a big price difference.

Yes, but they are old edition because it states they were published in 2015. The new one came out in 2017
