Snapchat keeps crashing, HELP

Whenever I open it, it says "snapchat has stopped working". It's worked on my google chrome book for 9 months! I use it to message friends when I'm not allowed my phone. Worked fine with no bugs.

Now after a recent update I did yesterday, it keeps crashing on me. I've tried everything, deleting it, installing it, restarting my computer and clearing my cache out. Everything. Nothing is working! I'm quite fed up now.

I'm desperate. I use it to message my friend who leaves for college for 11 months so I want to spend every last minute with him before he leaves. I'm not getting that now...

Please, someone help!
