You can register to vote at gov.uk/register-to-vote.

(TLDR: You can register at both home and term-time address but, of course, in a General Election you can only vote once.)

Where should I register to vote?

If you are a student, you may be able to register to vote at both your home and term-time addresses.
If you live in England, Scotland or Wales and are not sure if you are already registered contact your local electoral registration office. Find the contact details for your local electoral registration office.
In Northern Ireland, contact the Electoral Office for Northern Ireland.

Can I vote twice – at home and at university?

If your home and university addresses are in two different local authority areas, you can vote in local elections in both areas. This is because they are separate elections.

No one is allowed to vote twice in the same election [eg a General Election], even if the votes are in different areas of the country.

It is a criminal offence to vote twice.
