Why don't the G7 nations or other nations just embargo or place sanctions on Brazil and any other governments that fail to take care of the environment? Sanctions are placed on countries for other reasons such as absuing human rights, so surely abusing the environment should also be cause for sanctions? Ireland and France are already proposing to halt the EU-Brazil trade deal, so its got nothing to do with nations not caring enough. An embargo on Brazil or at the very least other economic sanctions would make a huge difference. At the very, very least, the public should boycott Brazillian goods.

I'm pretty sure they could make a strong argument for boycotting us for environmental reasons, After all in the UK we burn 3x as much carbon per person as in Brazil.
