In year 9 I didn't do so well in my IGCSE Computer Science practice papers so is it safe for me to do it as a GCSE option because I enjoy it and will it be easy for me to get better??

It doesn't really matter how well you did in previous years as long as you put in the work during your 2 years of GCSE. If you enjoy it, take it, because you're much more likely to do well in a subject by having an interest in it than taking it because your friends are doing it or your parents want to you etc.
