Good evening peeps. I have a dilemma, and I hope you can advice me on the topic.
I have recently graduated *** Laude from University of Birmingham, and in a conversation with Warwick recruitment team, I found out that I can get straight into a PHD. Is a PHD in Business and Strategic Management any good?
My ideal career will be in Business Consulting, and at the moment I am in a gap year to decide what I want to do (Masters abroad, phd here or grad scheme).

I'd get asking as far and wide as possible in the business sectors/country etc that you are interested in. I suspect you will find that by and large, business will prefer experience to a PhD, but there may be niches that interest you where that isn't the case.

Unlike most other academic areas, there will likely be little opportunity to go from a PhD straight into academia, nearly all business academics come in from business.

The consultancy companies will, I'm sure, be happy to advise, as will alumnae - get networking!
