Are biology degrees mainly environment and ecological stuff rather than human biology?

Obviously it depends on where you apply, but I’d say that most biology degrees focus quite heavily on ecology etc.

If you’re wanting a degree that focuses more on human biology perhaps look more along the lines of a bioscience degree (e.g. biomedical sciences)

where i did biology (st andrews) you start off in the broad range in your first year, and then you start to specialise in Cell biology, molecular, marine, evolutionary, environmental, biochemistry, zoology, animal behaviour or ecoloogy

It varies loads - I've looked at York, which was very human, disease etc. focused and Sheffield which is pretty much all ecology, evolution that kind of thing. Look at course structures at different places.
