Which uni ?Watch
I have a choice between Hertfordshire university and Kingston university to study computer science can anyone help me in terms of which uni is better?
So glad to hear that Herts is one of your options A good place to start choosing between the unis would probably be the modules where if you compare them you should get a real flavour of what you'll be studying for the next 3 years and you want this to be what your specific interests are around Computer Science. Other things to consider would be the teaching methods and professional accreditations. For example at Herts, we are accreditated by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
In general, at Herts, the course is focussed around foundations of computation, programming, multimedia, networks, databases, operating systems, software engineering. In addition, you’ll choose from a wide range of specialist modules to tailor your degree to your interests. We also have TEF Gold, which should assure you of the quality of teaching here. Our research from Computer Science School is internationally recognised and regularly represented in mainstream British media. Our robot, Kaspar, has been featured in the BBC 2 documentary 'Six Robots and Us', and online in the BBC News. Find out more specific details for this course here. You can also do a placement year with your course or go for study abroad at a partner university or join us on an Open day and see for yourself all that Herts has to offer!
Why not have a chat with James, on Unibuddy , who is a current Computer Science student at Herts and can tell you what his experience has been studying with us?
Good luck with your search and hopefully you'll be able to find the best uni for yourself
