I emailed my local MP on Saturday and I am still waiting for a response for a personal issue I need their help with. Now that parliament is prorogued, does that mean my local MP or caseworkers in his office will no longer reply during the next 5 weeks?

moon4 I believe they'd be serving their constituents in such matters as normal (they should actually have more time to respond to you).

Nope, they will still be be doing constituency casework as normal. But equally, I would normally expect a written reply to anything to take rather more than two working days.

A lot of the work is done by caseworkers rather than the MP themselves anyway.
