Oh really ? did that work out okay for you in the library every day? did you enjoy it ? I have a big big gap tomorrow, nearly 4 hours, did you have anything of that sort? I am a boy also
nice. think its hard to make friends as a guy.

i have no gaps in between lessons. i have a good timetable, i go home when my lessons end and i come in when they r due. e.g monday i finish 10:30am. only 1 lesson. and wedesday i come in 12:30-4 and go home

i tried. wanted to speak to this girl next to me who was also eating alone but got c*ckblocked by her friend.

my breaks r usually 15 mins once or twitch a day so i just use toilet walk around and arrive 5 mins early.
pretty sad ngl.

i'd try talk to ppl in library but they r so focused and dont wanna ruin stuff 4 them

look for any1 on their own. 'hi mind if i sit here' 'nope' shake hands. exchange names ask about lessons/a levels and carry on from there.

maybe get their insta snap done. try that with any1 u see alone.

Today was my first day , I didn’t make any friends tbh, just simple chat in my classes about work but nothing much , also teacher decided to make a rude remark about me . Then I had 2 hours and a half spare time but I live too far to go home . I spent it alone in the canteen when many others are in groups of 7/8 ( I don’t know anybody there ) I don’t think I could continue if it remains like this
Hope you're okay. I know exactly how you feel. Bear with me plz as I have a bit to say on this....I am starting a Uni course rn and it's like that for me too. Still! Most people hanging out in groups and they are only 1st years. The thing is, see if you can find other people who are on their own. That's what I've been doing this week. Usually they are the nice ones!
If that's not possible then focus on the studying if you can, cause you picked those subjects cause you like them, right? If you focus on the work, then you will have something to talk about with other people who are into the studying, and maybe you could help each other with studying. So in that way it can lead to socialising....
As a general rule, I find that girls are much kinder than guys when it comes to approaching them just to make a friend. Girls really appreciate a guy who is not trying to chat them up and just wants talk to them like a normal person. (If you're a guy, I don't know.)
On my first day in 6th form, I was made to stand up from my seat, with my whole form class watching, and "do a twirl". Everyone laughed. I just did what the teacher said cause I'm like that, but I feel so stupid, looking back on it, that I let that teacher bully me. He made me do that because I didn't instantly understand something he told us (I'm a deep thinker and a bit slow sometimes when it comes to the more simple info...)
I loved all the subjects I took, but I didn't really have friends. I really enjoyed two of my subjects though, because I got on really well with the people in those classes. They were so much more mature than year 11. The other students in my other two classes were pretty mean to me and it was like being in Y11 again.

It’s all about confidence, no one judges you if you look content alone, just getting on with work or sitting with headphones in. If you sit looking like you want to die then people may start to pity you, but other than that let them get on with it

Thanks for your response very interesting to read. How did you cope during your free's? I might try and see if my timeteable could change because it seems so stupid to have them all spaced out so much and and keeping me for long hours from 9-5
