Failed first year module resit, now what? Watch

To preface I missed over half of the first semester due to hospitalisation and subsequent illness and then upon returning my grandmother died.

I passed all but 1 modules from the first semester and all modules from the second semester.

When resitting the 1 module this summer I applied for extenuating circumstances due to essentially having to self teach and the exam being my first real attempt (in comparison to others who had previously sat it in January off the back of a semester of lectures).

My EC application was rejected and I failed the resit, I’m just wondering if there’s any further appeals I can make as ideally I wouldn’t want to have to resit the entire first year due to a single module.

Thanks.

I'm sorry you've had so much to contend with.

Is it possible for you to resit this module in the second year alongside your modules from the second year?

You will have to contact your university to see if this is an option and, if not, to see what other options are available.
