I'm starting my dissertation this year, and I'm pretty nervous about organising myself.

My dissertation is in History, so here's my basic plan:
1) First lot of modern reading
2) Read primary sources from citations and stuff
3) Follow up ideas/questions from readings
- then do the same with second lot of reading, third etc. etc.

How does this seem? I'm just quite nervous about it tbh, I like to be on top of things and organise myself with timetables, but I can't really do that until the year starts, when we'll be getting more info on the diss.
