About to start my BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering on Monday. I will be going once a week. I’m struggling with anxiety about not knowing where to go, knowing anybody, the course being predominantly male based, not knowing how many lectures I have in a day so not knowing how to organise myself in terms of stationary, folders etc. Any advice?

I'm not too familar with Engineering - however, in regards to stationary, i'd suggest just bringing a pencil case, notepad, a folder and any course-required equipment if applicable. You'll presumably recieve your time table at the start of the day and i'd imagine all new students would congregate somewhere to be given all the neccesary information. All the new students will be as curious as you.

Remember: you're all in the same boat.
