Just pens and lots of paper? Or am I missing something? Maybe highlighters.

It depends how you learn best. :groovy:

Some universities like ours will give students access to the presentations a couple of days before, allowing some students to either have the presentation open on a laptop or print it off if they wish.

However you take notes best I would recommend bringing along either a notebook or laptop. Adding to this I also knew quite a lot of students who would prefer to just sit in the lessons and listen and not take notes. Some students (if given permission) would record the class to play and listen back.

Highlighters are a great idea if taking hand notes.
