Alright, don't laugh... I got CDE in Biology, Maths and Physics.

I'm retaking them all hoping to get AAA, however I may only be predicted ABB/BBB (which is more than fair tbh).

I normally get A/B in Biology and Maths mock exams however I just crumbled in the real exams, Physics I deserve what I got.

I was wondering if it were possible to get an offer from a decent uni like Manchester, Queen Mary, Surrey or Southampton for an economics related course which are normally at AAB/ABB.

On all their websites it says it accepts retakes but I'm worried they'll just straight up reject me after seeing my grades. Other retakers probably only have to go up 1 or 2 grades, whereas I need an overhaul.

My personal statement is looking good but it's just the grades I am worried about

only serious answers please

If they state that they accept resits then they should consider you as a normal applicant without discrimination.

May I ask which course you are planning to apply to?

And you got offers to study economics from these top unis previously?

Only asking because that's quite a strange subject combo for an economics applicant.

No, the last time I applied was for engineering and I no longer wish to do engineering. I looked at the entry requirements for Economics and my subjects will be considered because of maths

I resat my A-Levels after getting BBD the first time round and am now heading to Exeter to do Law with A*AB so yes, it is possible but check the policies of each uni.

The question is, do you really think you can improve to AAA? You said you “deserved what you got” for Physics, so what would really change or make you work harder this time round?

Here’s a thread I’ve done explaining my situation which I really recommend you check out:
