I have not had the best year. I did really well with my college course and i am due to start university this month but the thing is i don't feel mentally ready to start university this year. I haven't got much money, i have felt i should just get a job earn some money, travel a bit and then start university when i am in a clearer happier state of mind and when i have more confidence in my self

You could postpone a year, or you could just try going and see what it's like. Have you got student finance lined up? Also, you should be able to get a part time job alongside a degree.
If you're nervous, they'll be plenty of other people in the same boat and people that can help with any questions etc.

In terms of finance - do you have student finance to help you, or can you family contribute to support you living costs? You may want to consider getting a part time role to bring in extra income.

If you genuinely don't feel ready to start university, deferring entry or taking a gap year could be a better course of action if you feel it will benefit you. Have you talked with your family about what to do?
