Hi, I’m starting at Royal Holloway this September and have been allocated a ground floor room. As this room is next to the kitchen/social areas (and also possibly near walkways etc outside), I was wondering what the noise level is like and if it’s particularly noisy if you’re staying in one of these rooms?

I always preferred living off-campus because noise in halls is a nightmare. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
