She was already drunk, the baby died after she rolled onto him and basically smothered him to death. What's wrong with you?! Why do you think she should have sympathy or be able to sue the club for getting herself drunk and killing her child. She should be locked up for the rest of her life.
This is her fault not the clubs. Drinking in the first place is never a good idea, but drinking with a baby and carrying it around? I agree with Isaia . It's not the clubs fault she was stupid enough to take a baby with her and chose to get drunk with the baby present. I agree, she shouldn't have been let in, but the blame still lies with her. I just don't understand this.

right well i could type it till im blue in the face. As a one off for anyone else who decides to keep quoting me:

REGARDLESS OF HER PARENTING SKILLS, ANY BUSINESS OWNER WHO ALLOWS SOMEONE TO GET DRUNK WITH A CHILD IN THEIR CARE IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND SHOULD ALSO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. Apparently I'm in side with the law...as she was let off
A mother was imprisoned for only 2 years for murdering her child. I'm lost for words on how to even comprehend that.

Oh right. How daft of me to presume you didn't know what an obscure legal principle is.
As far as obscure legal principles go, ex turpi causa non oritur actio is pretty well-known.

Whether premeditated or not, I believe it should be treated as murder.

Nah, genius, the reason this isn't murder is the mens rea AINT THERE -- intention to cause death or really serious harm. So stop pretending to be a legal whiz and shush.

gone somewhere else and those people whoever they ended up being still letting her get pissed and toss a baby in the air would still be irresponsible and should get fined! what is wrong with you ppl....it's actually shocking...parents are drinking all the time, but u dont hear about em getting allowed to bring a baby along?!
True they should definitely get some sort of punishment for that, although in this legal system not stopping someone from committing a crime is not an offense. And I know a lot of people in my area bring their kids and babies into clubs, I suppose it's one of those "rough area" things.

I'm not talking in legal terms but in moral terms. Of course it is manslaughter but we aren't conducting a tribunal on a student forum now are we?

"People in glass houses" before you talk about other people posts look at your own spelling.

So you deliberately used the incorrect term. How fun.

Do you go round calling buses bikes just for a laugh?

No, I call murderers murderers when they intentionally bring their babies to clubs, get intentionally drunk and intentionally throw their baby around, and then act all upset when they kill their child.

Spelling is fine. at least I can put my words together properly. Your title is horribly worded. She didn't take her baby out at all.

 At least someone here knows the difference between "understand" and "agree". You understand me right? Regardless of how ****ed in the head she is, who's blatantly glossing over how ****ed the managers are?

Shame the Crown Court didn't agree with you.
