I am In my second year of psychology and chose child psychology as I would like to work with children however, I did a bit of a class on it today and it seems very brain based. Apparently
enviromental psychology is easier and the studies don't seem bad so Idk if I should ask to switch does anyone have any advice? If you have done the courses you could tell me pros and cons or what the course is like. Many thanks

Don't choose the easier option, choose whichever one you are most interested in. You can choose the easy one and be bored out your mind and therefore not put as much effort in, compared to if you chose the harder one that you're interested in and actually wanted to look into more.
