Hi all,

I am taking Biology and Chemistry A-level and a BTEC extended certificate in business but I wanted to know if I could do anything medical based with these? I have a 4th option open to take a subject instead of the BTEC but I’m not sure if this will be worth it?

I appreciate any feedback!

If you're aiming to apply to medical school in the UK, then I suggest dropping the BTEC for another A Level subject.
This is because most medical schools in the UK ask for 3 A Levels - most require chemistry, and one from biology/physics/mathematics.
I think taking 3 A Levels would be a guaranteed way for you to be on the right path for medicine at university, without complicating it by only doing 2 A Levels & a BTEC.
I suggest dropping the BTEC, and taking up either physics/mathematics/psychology, or whatever you know you'll do well in.

No, I don't think they would accept fewer than 3 a levels, unless you did another degree first then transferred to medicine after that, best of luck!
