When I arrive at my university I need to provide my passport as a form of ID but it expired last year. Do you reckon I will be okay with it as long as I have other documents with me?

What other documents do you have?

If they can’t accept your expired passport then they would probably need photo ID (driving license) AND a birth certificate.

My provisional licence still hasn't come through the post which is making me angry because they've been messing me about a bit! but I do have my birth certificate and like bank documents and my GCSE certificates. But these aren't obviously photo ID, my passport is the only photo ID I have

Why don't you ask your university's admissions office to make sure?
