Hi I'm Molly and it looks like I'm the first one here!

Offer made? Haven't applied yet, we're getting the UCAS buzzword from college on Monday so hopefully I'll apply soon after that

Any questions that you would like to ask? Are there many students who commute/mature students at NTU? Also, is there a regular bus/public transport from the train station to Clifton campus?

Hi Molly

Look forward to seeing you at the next open day

In answer to your question there is a regular bus from the station to Clifton Campus - the number 4 will take you straight there and generally comes every 10 mins or so. This is a link to the timetable: https://www.nctx.co.uk/services/NCT/...ction=outbound

We have plenty of students that choose to study from home and we have many mature students. Not everybody will move into halls and many choose to start courses later in life so you will not be out of place.

I hope this helps

Felix

Hi, I’m Macey.
Course - History BA
Undergraduate
Offer made - Got accepted with BBB on results day, I’m on my gap year and will be starting in 2020.
Are you coming to an open day - went to one last year. would I be allowed to come again this year even though i’m already guaranteed my place?
Any questions that you would like to ask - For accommodation, I am interested in either Peverell or Hampden, but I will be studying at Clifton Campus. I was wondering if you could tell me the benefits of each, such as how lively each generally is, how big the rooms are, how close Hampden is to a bus stop etc. Hampden is £1000 cheaper than Peverell, which is a huge bonus for me, but it’s 35 minutes away on the bus and doesn’t have an en suite. I’m having trouble deciding which one I should go for. I am leaning towards Hampden. How much does the travel deal cost?

Hey! So I'm actually an Irish girl applying to unis in the UK and to be well honest, NTU has been my top pick for a while. I just had a bit of complication choosing the courses since there's a few different paths I could take but now I have sorted of settled of ideal plan.

Course? Journalism or Sociology (moving more towards sociology)

Undergraduate/Postgraduate? Undergraduate 2020

Offer made? Have not sent off application just yet

Are you coming to an open day? Since I live in Ireland, It's highly unlikely. If I could, I definitely would

Any questions that you would like to ask? Aread many Irish students particularly considered?
AND
If I go on and study sociology, can I still do things within the university related to Journalism?

Hi!

We base offers on your grades and personal statement so nationality plays no part in the decision process.

There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with journalism. The University has its own magazine (Platform), we have our own TV station (Trent TV), as well as a university radio station (Fly FM), that all students are welcome to get involved with.

I hope that helps

Thanks

Hi!

We’re hoping to start processing decisions in the next couple of weeks - If you haven’t heard back from us by the end of October I would suggest contact the University directly and we’ll look in to it.

Best of luck

Hi. I'm Candice.
I have applied for Veterinary Nursing.
Undergraduate.
No offer made currently. (Only submitted UCAS yesterday - 20/10/19 though!)
Yes I am attending an open day in November.

Couple of questions;
If I were to study and complete the FDSC Veterinary Nursing course and then do the BSC top up year; would this be exactly the same as doing the full BSC course?
In addition to the cost of the student fees and the accommodation/living costs, what other fees are required during the course? For example for necessary equipment and text books.

Thank you.
