Looking to come and visit the University on the 23rd of November. Do I need to send any emails to let anyone know? Thinking on studying Policy, Politics and Economics so would want to visit the School of Social Policy, School of Government & Business School. Is it possible to visit them or do I have to go to an open day to see them?

Email the department and ask if it would be convenient for you to visit on that day. You don't have to wait until open day, and as a prospective student you would be most welcome to see what the uni has to offer.
