During secondary and sixth form I have always been surrounded by a mixture of people of different races and religions.I am asian myself and during secondary I would often hang out with the brown and black people.Just because I feel like I can relate to them.however outside of a group setting I have classroom friends that are white.i went to sixth form and I also blended with asian and black people,in a group setting. Is it weird to think I won’t get along with people of a different race? I’ve always felt this separation. So I have just started my foundation course and a majority of the people in my class are white.I just feel like an outsider.considering in secondary and sixth form I was surrounded with a lot more brown/ black people. So far i am two weeks in to the course and this has girl has become my ‘friend’ but I feel like it’s very forced. She originally told me she wasn’t interested in making friends then she suddenly wanted us to eat out together.I don’t like her because she constantly correct me and she has told me some pretty weird stories but I just have to get on with it.everyone in the class have formed their friendship groups. And the girl seems to form a lot of opinions about other people in the group for being loud. And because I’m not a confrontational person I just try to ignore it

I get the reason In wanting to be friends with people like yourself. But you’re in university now so you should open up. Also, they probably have Asian societies etc. I know my uni has an Islamic Society, Hindu Society, Chinese society and a British Asian society
