I don't know about the context for uni admissions, but there's definitely an overlap between the two and business is generally regarded as quite an easy subject.

Some universities discourage the combination of business studies and economics at A-level due to subject overlap, for example LSE. I would recommend you check the requirements and policies of any university you may wish to apply to well in advance. Personally I would suggest you just take one of the two, in order to ensure you don't potentially limit yourself later on.
