How does schooling in Britain work

I don't know what im going to do after GCSE I want to be a doctor but I'm not sure if I go to university or a medical college first.or r they just the same thing

UK medical schools are attached to a larger university. You apply via UCAS (a centralised admissions service).

You can do combined as not everyone is offered triple even in top set
