How does clearing for primary education work?

Since you have to get a bunch of stuff sorted before starting (skills tests, interviews etc). So how can they accept you through clearing when so much has to be done beforehand?

you still have to have the skills tests done and an interview in clearing.

It’s the same thing when medicine sometimes goes into clearing

You still need a ucat score and they will still invite you to an interview over the course of the clearing period to make a decision
