Hi folks,

Didn't see a thread up about this - think it launched either yesterday or today but I just noticed it now.

Link to apply is at the bottom of the programme website, have a gander and see if you think it's viable for you! Best of luck.

Isn't it interesting how many departments seem to be launching their own graduate schemes separate from the fast stream. I've only noticed it this year but not sure if it's a new thing or not. Policy Profession did their own version of the Fast Track Apprenticeship, and Health Policy have recently advertised their own HEO graduate programme.

Keeping specific schemes in-house means they'll get closer to what they want, rather than lumbered with candidates who may not have had that as their first choice scheme if that makes sense. More likely to complete/be passionate about it if they've applied for that specifically. Plus, they're the experts in that area, best they drive it.

Yeah totally agree with that - just concerns me that if it is a new trend does it reduce the places available overall to fast stream candidates. After all if HMRC are recruiting 200 graduates directly surely that's 200 fewer candidates they'll need from the fast stream in any area.
Not saying its a bad idea by any means, purely pondering the implications.

Do you need any qualifications or experience beforehand?
I studied marketing at uni and want a career change. This scheme sounds perfect but i'm worried I don't have any experience of qualifications.. the website doesn't seem to say you need any? Can literally anyone with a degree apply?
