For an ‘assess’ 8 marker question would recommend doing four factors. You get four marks for describing the factor (AO2) and another four marks for assessing and evaluating the factor (AO3).

The markscheme says you need to “Demonstrate accurate understanding of concepts and the interrelationship of places, environments and processes” and “Provide logical connections between concepts throughout” which means that not only do you have to describe what you’re talking about but you need to be able to link your ideas cohesively. Level 3 answers also “argued ... that one or more of the impacts were especially harmful”, so maybe assess the seriousness of your factors.

Eg. Assess the environmental impacts of explorating Indonesia’s energy resources.
You could talk about:
Loss of Habitat and explain how it endangers species.
River pollution and its impacts eg. Acidity erodes soil, fish die etc.
Deforestation: Without trees, heavy rainfall can cause soil erosion.
